The La Verne Heritage Foundation does an excellent job of creating a nurturing environment for children in the community to explore the farm, learn about the systems, and have fun! The best example of this is their pumpkin patch. Each year the farm transforms into the most charming pumpkin patch full of a wide variety of pumpkins to purchase, but not before you have the opportunity to take a tractor ride, visit the petting zoo, and if you’re lucky even hold 4-day old chicks! They also have many photo opportunities, a vegetable and flower garden on display, and an adorable store set up in the barn. They sell jams, jellies, syrups, candies, snacks, and even shirts and hats.
We’ve taken our kids to this pumpkin patch for years and absolutely love it. We will keep bringing them until they force us to stop! And we highly recommend it for you too. This year they are also hosting events each Saturday:
Heritage Harvest Vendor Fair on 10/16
